Wicking Crates
Our self watering veggie crates are the best way to grow veggies, dwarf fruit trees and herbs with minimal effort and be guaranteed of amazing results, ideal for our Tasmanian climate and to reduce water use
The system uses the soils natural capillary action to draw moisture up from a water reservoir in the base of the crate. This keeps the soil around the roots of the plants at the optimum moisture level, which is essential for fast growing plants like vegetables to grow quickly and healthily.Because the plants are watered from below the soil, water loss to evaporation is reduced dramatically, making it possible to go up to two weeks before topping up the water reservoir, even during the summer months!
