Description
Tasmanian form with a dense, more upright growth habit and pinkish flower buds opening to white flowers.
Hardy in well-drained, sunny sites, including sandy and coastal. Bushfood: aromatic leaves can be used as a flavouring in cooking or steeped in hot water for a lovely tea. Edible, nectar-rich flowers can be steeped in water for a sweet, refreshing drink or used to flavour desserts and preserves. Both the essential oils extracted from the leaves and the honey produced from the flowers are regarded highly for their medicinal properties. A very useful and beautiful plant indeed!
