Description
The fruit, reminiscent of a finger in size and shape, grows cylindrically and typically ripens in the autumn. Its fragrant, slender green skin is tinged with a blush of crimson. Upon slicing the fruit open, a treasure trove of citrus pearls, brimming with zesty lime flavors, is revealed. Originating in the understory of the Rainforest Pearl, this fruit thrives in dappled light but reaches its peak performance in full sun, especially in a warm and sheltered location.
The taste is mix of sweet and slightly bitter. It goes well in salads, fish and in cocktails / alcoholic drinks such as gin.
