Description
A compact form of the much-loved Tasmanian heritage plum, Dwarf ‘King Billy’ produces medium to large fruit with deep purple skin and firm golden flesh. The flavour is rich, sweet and slightly tangy — excellent for fresh eating, bottling and preserves.
Ripening late summer, this variety is a reliable, heavy bearer once established. Its dwarf habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens or large pots.
Pollination:
‘King Billy’ is generally self-fertile, but will crop more heavily with another European plum nearby such as Prunus domestica 'Coe's Golden Drop' or Prunus domestica 'President'.
