Description
A true miniature apple tree that produces full-sized, high-quality Granny Smith apples on a naturally compact plant. Unlike apples grafted onto dwarfing rootstocks, Leprechaun™ is genetically compact, growing to approximately 2 metres tall and 1 metre wide. It is highly productive, requires minimal pruning and is ideal for smaller gardens, narrow spaces and espalier training.
Pollination: Partially self-fertile, however fruit set is improved when grown near compatible apple varieties such as Pinkabelle®, Gala, Fuji, Red Delicious, Jonathan and Pink Lady®.
Harvest:May to June
Best Uses: Fresh eating, stewing, cooking, drying and cider making
