Description
A dwarf form of the classic English heritage plum, producing large, oval fruit with attractive golden-yellow skin, often flushed with amber in the sun. The firm golden flesh is exceptionally sweet, rich and aromatic, making it one of the finest dessert plums ever introduced.
Pollination: Partially self-fertile. For heavier and more reliable crops, plant with Green Gage, Golden gage , Prune d'Agen or another compatible European plum flowering at the same time.
Harvest: March
Best Uses: Fresh eating, desserts, jams, bottling and preserving.
Position: Full sun in well-drained soil.
Why We Love It: Dwarf Coe's Golden Drop produces beautifully sweet, honey-flavoured fruit with exceptional richness and aroma. The golden flesh is delicious eaten fresh and is equally suited to desserts and preserving. Tasmania's cool climate enhances its outstanding flavour, while the compact tree makes pruning, netting and harvesting much easier. A wonderful heritage plum for gardeners wanting premium-quality fruit in a smaller space.
