Description
A classic European pear producing medium to large fruit with smooth green skin that ripens to golden yellow. The creamy white flesh is exceptionally juicy, fine-textured and buttery with a rich, sweet flavour. Williams Bon Chrétien is one of the world's most famous pears, prized for its outstanding eating quality and reliable productivity.
Pollination: Pollination required plant with Packham's Triumph, Beurré Bosc, Nijisseiki (20th Century), Shinseiki or another compatible pear flowering at the same time.
Harvest: February–March
Best Uses: Fresh eating, poaching, desserts, bottling, juicing, preserving and drying.
Position: Full sun in well-drained soil.
